The Discovery Story

A Remarkable Discovery That Changed Pet Nutrition Forever

In the 1970s, a German pharmacist discovered the healing power of carrots while seeking a natural solution to severe diarrhea affecting children in orphanages. The results were astonishing—carrot soup saved lives.

Around the same time, a Doberman breeder faced a similar crisis with dogs experiencing life-threatening diarrhea. After consulting the pharmacist, it was discovered that specially prepared dehydrated carrots could have the same restorative effect in dogs.

A local farmer produced the first batch—and the dogs recovered quickly.

This breakthrough became the foundation for Olewo.
